Airshow Planned For Cleburne, TX Airport This Summer

Grand Texas Airshow Will Be Held In July

Cleburne Municipal Airport (KCPT) will be the site of the Grant Texas Airshow, planned for July 1 this summer.

The event was announced Friday by Grand Texas Productions and the Cleburne Chamber of Commerce. The show will feature aerobatic performances, warbirds, and living history flights aboard the restored B-17 bomber "Texas Raiders."

The Cleburne Times Review reports that Grand Texas Productions Executive Director Devon Scott said during the a ribbon cutting ceremony announcing the show that the show will also include static displays of historic aircraft, an auto expo, community expo, food, and other activities and entertainment for families.

Scott called KCPT a "fantastic airport" and Cleburne a "great community. We really appreciate the reception we've been getting from the chamber and everyone we've talked to."

The one-day event will culminate with Gene Soucy performing a Flying Fireworks Grand Finale.

Cleburne Airport Manager Sharlette Wright said that this is the first time the airport has hosted an airshow, so "it's going to be interesting."

General admission for the show is $25, with kids age 5-15 getting in for $15, and those four and under free.
