Skybolt Aeromotive Corp. Announces TSO-C148 Approval

Skybolt Aeromotive Corporation, distributor and manufacturer of aerospace hardware announced today confirmation of FAA TSO-C148 approval on their CLoc® Stainless ¼ Turn Fasteners. Although the CLoc® Fastener has added many innovations to the traditional design, all components are interchangeable with common industry standard parts.

Skybolt owner and designer, Ned Bowers, worked with the FAA for over 4 years to obtain TSO-C148, a recently enacted qualification for panel fasteners. “The TSO program is the FAA’s version of ISO 9000 qualification for components to be utilized on certified aircraft”, as described by Bowers.

Skybolt’s objective from the start was to manufacture stainless components to the strength standards of the steel parts they traditionally replace.
