Dave Bibby Named Aspen Avionics Vice President Of Engineering

Brings Over 34 Years Experience With Focus On Integrated Avionics Development

Dave Bibby has joined Aspen Avionics as its vice president of engineering. Bibby has over 34 years of experience in the aerospace industry specializing in integrated avionics development. He will be responsible for directing all of the company’s engineering activities and will report directly to John Uczekaj, Aspen president and CEO.

Prior to joining Aspen Avionics, Bibby held the position of chief engineer for Honeywell Aerospace’s flight management systems (FMS) center of excellence. As a member of the next generation FMS team, Bibby helped define the development of the next generation FMS for the Boeing 747-8, Gulfstream 650 and Embraer Regional Jet. Most notably, Bibby holds six patents and has earned several technical achievement awards during the course of his career.

"Given the depth and breadth of Dave’s background in integrated avionics and his successful track record in developing complex systems, he is the ideal choice to lead Aspen’s talented engineering team," said John Uczekaj, Aspen president and CEO. "The experience and leadership Dave brings will add new dimensions and momentum to our efforts to provide new and innovative avionics products,” Uczekaj continued.

"I am impressed with Aspen’s vision and plans in the area of product development," said Bibby. "Aspen’s commitment to continue to redefine the industry with new products makes it an exciting time to come on board.”

Bibby earned his BSEE in computer engineering from Oregon State University in 1980.
