Castleberry Instruments Ready To Open At Austin Executive

FAA Certification Allows Firm To Service Majority Of General Aviation Avionics

Castleberry Instruments and Avionics announced that its repair station has earned FAA full Class 1, 2, and 3 Radio, Class 1, 2, 3, and 4 Instrument and Limited Airframe ratings. These upgrades enable Castleberry to add all avionics, all instruments, as well as installations and certain aircraft certifications to its current service offerings.

The class specifications refer to all avionics found in the majority of general and business aviation aircraft. It is the highest level of repair certification issued by the FAA. John Semerjibashian, Sales & Service Manager, says the limited airframe rating will allow Castleberry to start its new operation at the recently opened Austin Executive Airport in Texas, offering static system certifications, transponder certification, autopilot installations, and a wide variety of other services.

The new Austin Executive Airport began operating in early May, with a 6,025-foot runway and a 27,500-square-foot FBO terminal that includes a 140-x-85-foot canopy to provide shade and protection to arriving and departing customers.
