Robert J. Blaha Named Aspen Avionics Director Of Business Development

To Lead Newly Created Business Development Effort With Primary Focus On Nexnav GPS

Robert J. Blaha has been named Aspen Avionics' director of business development which will include Aspen’s newly acquired NexNav GPS product line. Blaha has been with Aspen since 2007, previously holding the positions of regional sales manager and director of international sales.

In his new role, Blaha’s initial effort will be to expand Aspen’s position in the avionics OEM and in the manned/unmanned airframe OEM markets. Blaha will be responsible for identifying unique opportunities available to Aspen with its newly acquired NexNav GPS product line; a result of its acquisition of Accord Technology LLC in June 2015. He will report to Hal Adams, executive vice president of business development.

“The wealth of experience and knowledge Rob brings to this role combined with his extensive network of business contacts is key to the continued growth and success of Aspen Avionics,” said Hal Adams. “Rob’s technical expertise, coupled with his 20+ years experience in the aerospace industry has identified him as the perfect candidate for this very important role in our newly combined company,” said John Uczekaj, Aspen president and chief executive officer.

Blaha received a B.S. degree in aviation maintenance management from Lewis University and holds FAA commercial pilot, flight instructor, ground Instructor and mechanic certificates.
