T. Bella Dinh-Zarr Sworn In As NTSB Vice Chairman

Newest Member Of The Board Named To Leadership Role

T. Bella Dinh-Zarr, PhD, MPH, was sworn in March 30th as the vice chairman of the National Transportation Safety Board. Dinh-Zarr became a board member on March 23, 2015, and was designated as vice chairman by President Obama last week.

Prior to her appointment to the NTSB, Vice Chairman Dinh-Zarr served as Director of the U.S. Office of the FIA Foundation, an international philanthropy dedicated to promoting safe and sustainable transportation. Before that she served as the North American Director of Make Roads Safe – The Campaign for Global Road Safety.

“I am extremely honored to be vice chairman of NTSB and will do my utmost to serve our mission of advancing transportation safety in order to save lives and prevent injuries”, said Dinh-Zarr.

Dinh-Zarr has been appointed as vice chairman for a two-year term. She is concurrently serving a three-year term as board member, which runs through December 2018.
