Norway's Maritime Robotics announced that a Penguin B drone owned by the Norwegian Defence Research Establishment concluded a 200 kilometer flight in June, passing through several different types of controlled civil airspace.

The flight demonstrated a new wireless data link technology using phased array antennas from Radionor Communications, as well as a lightweight transponder on the aircraft, all of which was integrated by Maritime Robotics. Lilium has released new footage of its all-electric Lilium Jet as it celebrates completing its first phase of flight testing, a milestone it has reached less than six months since starting its flight test campaign. The Lilium Jet was revealed to the world in May 2019 and since then has been put through its paces at an airfield in southern Germany. The emissions-free aircraft, which will be able to complete journeys of up to 162 nautical miles in one hour on a single charge, has now been flown at speeds exceeding 54 knots in increasingly complex maneuvers. Zipline is testing medical supply drones with the US military. Zipline, which already delivers emergency medical supplies in Rwanda and Ghana, is testing drone flights with the Department of Defense. Between July and September, Zipline partnered with the DoD and Naval Medical Research Center to deploy its drones during four multinational military forces exercises in Australia. All this -- and MORE in today's episode of Airborne-Unmanned!!!
