Jet Source Opens San Diego P&W Service Center

Firm Secures 'Authorized' Status

Jet Source, headquartered at the McClellan-Palomar Airport in Carlsbad, CA, recently became the first Pratt & Whitney Authorized Service Center in San Diego. To earn its 'authorized' status with the aircraft engine manufacturer, Jet Source’s maintenance team received special education and training from Pratt & Whitney.

With more than 40 percent of the world's commercial fleet powered by its engines, Pratt & Whitney supports more than 9,000 customers in 180 countries around the world. Pratt & Whitney Canada is the world's leading producer of engines, producing more than 60,000 small engines for corporate jets, regional aircraft and helicopters. Over the years, Pratt & Whitney has patented hundreds of innovations and technologies making air travel more cost-effective, more comfortable and more dependable.

"Pratt & Whitney is undeniably one of the most innovative manufacturers in the aviation industry," said David Lohmeyer, director of aircraft services for Jet Source. "We are thrilled that Jet Source has been awarded a Pratt & Whitney Service Center, so that we can now offer more services and support to our Pratt & Whitney customers, giving Jet Source the edge over our competition."

The Pratt & Whitney Service Center will provide overhaul and repair services, and supply components for gas turbine engines manufactured by Pratt & Whitney. From specialized repair schemes to minimal aircraft downtime and more, the Pratt & Whitney Service Center provides full engine service and support.
