Aero-TV: Functional Aesthetics - Inside Cessna’s Citation X

Cessna's Tom Heck Details the Interior Design Features of the Citation X

Cruising at Mach .92, the Citation X is one of the fastest civilian aircraft available in the business aviation market.  Design, however, has not been lost to functionality; the Citation X design features highlight comfort, aesthetics, and technological advancements to make it, as Heck states it, "a high-class mobile office in the sky."

Developed as one of the widest cabins crafted for a Citation, the aircraft’s 8-passenger, double-club seating configuration features a full-length, stand-up center aisle; each seating area includes fully articulating seats with a 360 degree swivel to allow for desk work, as well as horizontal reclining to accommodate for relaxation.

For privacy and convenience, the cabin also includes a private dressing room equipped with a vanity, large closet, and flushing toilet.

To support business on the go, the aircraft is equipped with AirCell SatCom communications capable of running multiple lines of the aircraft with multiple telephone numbers.  Each seat also includes a 5" inch display featuring DVD and iPod functionality.
