More Workers, More Orders
It is not your imagination Cirrus aircraft seems
to be everywhere these days. The once elusive SR20s and SR22s have
grabbed more than a foothold in the market place, according to a
Cirrus statement to ANN. The company, based in Duluth (MN) cites
the increase in production, SR20 Version 2.0 and the very popular
options of Ice Protection and Primary Flight Display. Even though
over 800 aircraft are in the fleet, there are still special
‘milestones’ to be celebrated, like 500 customer-owned
SR22s.
Nabil El-Hage of Massachusetts and Rob Mulderig of Bermuda were
surprised to learn their partnership marked a
‘milestone’ when they took possession of their SR22,
last week at Cirrus headquarters. It was number 500 off the line.
The SR22’s performance, Primary Flight Display and delivery
within a few months, have kept the plane, popular with general
aviation pilots looking for a bit more zip in the air.
Cirrus CEO Alan Klapmeier says, “Cirrus is the only
certified general aviation aircraft equipped with a Primary Flight
Display. That fact has helped to set us apart from other
manufacturers and is generating a great deal of interest in our
SR20s and SR22s.” Klapmeier adds that the airplane’s
avionics and safety features remain strong selling points for
today’s pilots and families.
Cirrus: Got A Trade-In? We're Dealin'!
Cirrus is now accepting trade-ins on any brand of aircraft.
Cirrus Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing John Bingham
points out, “The unique trade-in program has resulted in a
flurry of sales activity for our company. It allows pilots, who
want to move up into a new SR20 or SR22, a more efficient way to
gain ownership of one of these advanced aircraft.” Bingham
urges airplane owners to contact Cirrus to find out the excellent
trade in opportunities that exist for their current aircraft
through the program.
