Aero-News: Quote Of The Day (01.14.13)

Aero-News: Quote of the Day

ANN's Quote of the Day usually derives from current news, though we reserve the right to pick quotes out of history that have a bearing on the day's events and issues.

Sometimes, you'll find them timely and in keeping with the content of the day's news... and sometimes, they'll just be thought-provoking.

Reader suggestions and comments are welcome... and if particularly intriguing, timely, or poignant, may themselves become future Quotes of the Day.

Let us hear from you, folks!

Aero-News Quote of the Day

"When buying from a private owner you know who you are talking to. But when canvassing planes at an air event, you don't know who is selling the plane. Sales displays at an air event may be staffed by manufacturer representatives, distributors, dealers, or an airplane owner who is allowing his/her plane to be used for display. Accuracy of the information you receive depends strongly on who you are talking to."

Source: From ANN's short and concise LSA Buyer's Guide/Checklist, to be distributed at this week's Sebring LSA event. The document, adapted from a more comprehensive chapter in the Third Edition of the SportPlane Resource Guide, the advisory document contains solid details and questions that should be brought up by every potential LSA buyer in the process of looking for their new airplane. The free checklist is geared to basic fixed wing offerings, but there is still a lot to learn from this document for ANY person contemplating joining the LSA community as a Sport Pilot and/or LSA owner/operator.
