The folks at Roll-Royce tell ANN that they believe their all-electric ‘Spirit of Innovation’ aircraft is the world’s fastest, setting three new world records. They have submitted data to the FAI – that on 16 November 2021, the aircraft reached a top speed of 345.4 mph over 3 kilometres, smashing the existing record by 132 mph. In further runs at the UK Ministry of Defence’s Boscombe Down experimental aircraft testing site, the aircraft achieved 330 mph over 15 km – 182 mph faster than the previous record – and broke the fastest time to climb to 3000 metres by 60 seconds with a time of 202 seconds. Shuttle Service Relays Dogs From Kill Shelters to Loving Homes

An Alabama rescue service recently made the rounds on Tik Tok with a short video featuring a small plane filled with puppies, taken from a flight in July 2021. The footage was taken by Cassandra Bergeron, on a 90-minute flight from Alabama to Orlando, Florida on a trip that saved the dogs from probable euthanization. The dogs were removed from a series of rescues and shelters by Alabama Puppy Rescue Flights, an organization that relays dogs from areas of high animal-kill rates to locations with eager adoptive homes.

MH-60 Jayhawk Helicopter Aircrew And An HC-130 Hercules Aircrew Responded

The Coast Guard medevaced a woman from a cruise ship approximately 231 miles southeast of Wilmington, North Carolina, Friday evening. Watchstanders at the Coast Guard Fifth District command center received a medical evacuation request from crewmembers aboard the cruise ship Anthem Of The Sea, requesting assistance for an ailing woman who was reportedly suffering from internal bleeding. Watchstanders dispatched an MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter aircrew and an HC-130 Hercules aircrew from Coast Guard Air Station Elizabeth City.
