Precise Flight Earns STC For Robinson R22 HID Lighting

Provides Increased Visibility, Safety

Precise Flight, Inc. announced recently the company has been awarded a Supplemental Type Certificate for outfitting the Robinson R22 Series helicopters with the PreciseLite, Precise Flight's high intensity discharge aviation lighting.

"The PreciseLiteHID units are a great fit for Robinson's fine helicopters, as they provide the benefit of increased visibility for the pilot, and for other aircraft operating in the vicinity, in low visibility situations or dense urban environments," explains Scott Philiben, Vice President of Precise Flight. "As the world's leading provider of integrated aviation safety and performance systems, we are pleased to be the only supplier of a lighting solution that will enhance the design, safety and performance of all Robinson R22s."

"Precise Flight has upheld its reputation as a leading global supplier of lighting components in the rotorcraft community for over 20 years," said Philiben, "and we are pleased our capabilities in aviation lighting can provide Robinson owners a solution that will improve the conspicuity and enhance the overall quality of the Robinson R22."

Precise Flight's line of lighting solutions, PreciseLite, was introduced in 2005 and includes the LED and HID recognition and navigation lighting and the Pulselite conspicuity system. The company says its product line continues to reflect Precise Flight's extensive capabilities in providing integrating solutions to the industry's top rotorcraft and aircraft manufacturers.
