Gogo’s Avance L3 STC Announced for HondaJet

Inflight Internet Aboard the Honda HA-420

Banyan Air Service announced its STC’s final stages of certification are underway for installation of Gogo’s AVANCE L3 on the Honda HA-420 HondaJet.

Once fully approved, it will be the newest addition to the growing list of light jets able to integrate the airborne connectivity solution.

Gogo has gained a lot of ground in the segment, with 27 new production business aircraft offering its equipment as line-fit factory options, with 198 models compatible through aftermarket providers. Over 2,000 units are in operation, making it the most successful internet solution in business aviation. Avance is a line replaceable unit that offers customers internet, voice, entertainment, cockpit apps, self-service tools, and remote support. Designed with easy upgradeability in mind, future performance upgrades for 5G and other developing tech is a simple, easy process.

“Banyan Air Service is extremely excited to partner with Gogo on this STC with such a capable platform.” Said Danny Santiago, director of avionics for Banyan Air Service.

“The Avance L3 in the HondaJet market is a perfect combination for owners and operators that will satisfy their domestic mission requirements with a high-quality inflight connectivity experience.”

Avance L3 is Gogo’s most affordable solution, with broadband-level speeds. Connected to the Gogo Biz 3G network, it allows for secure internet connections aloft, suitable for standard internet browsing and business needs for up to 25 devices simultaneously. The premium L5 boosts that performance to a broadband-like speed capable of providing streaming to passengers throughout the flight. With the L5, up to 40 devices can connect at once, in addition to streaming content, and video calls. Data plans are available in pay-as-you-go, monthly, or hourly service fees.
