Completes Twelve-Year Inspection And Complete Cabin Refurbishment
StandardAero announced that Associated Air Center (AAC), its Large Transport Category, VIP Aircraft Completions Center in Dallas, Texas, recently redelivered its 13th Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) 12-year inspection to a U.S. based customer.
“By maximizing the available lead and downtime, the aircraft had a complete cabin refurbishment during the inspection to include all new covering materials creating an all new interior,” said James Colleary, President of AAC. “The new interior included veneer replacements on cabin monuments, giving the cabin a contemporary feel while extending the current cabin life.”
In addition, the aircraft’s cabin management and in-flight entertainment systems were also upgraded with Rockwell Collins’ “Venue” High Definition Entertainment system. The Satcom system was changed to SwiftBroadband for high speed data and internet reception utilizing a Satcom Direct internet router. Additional improvements included a new Alto audio sound system and B/E Aerospace LED lighting.
Twelve-year inspection maintenance workscope included bringing the airworthiness directives and manufacturers’ service bulletins into current compliance. The landing gear was also zero time overhauled and all aircraft and engine-due listed items for time and cycles were completed.
Since 2011, this aircraft represents the 13th BBJ 12-year inspection, cabin systems upgrades and cabin refurbishment accomplished by AAC.
