CAPT Program Receives CAAC Training Authorization For Cecil Campus

New Jacksonville Facility May Train Pilots For Chinese Airlines

Commercial Airline Pilot Training (CAPT) Program announced Thursday it has received official notification from the General Administration of Civil Aviation of China granting approval for CAPT's Cecil campus to train students to fly for airlines in China.

After an inspection at the CAPT facility in Jacksonville, FL, the Civil Aviation Authority of China (CAAC) deemed the facilities, program, curriculum and safety records at the school worthy to be added to the short list of approved flight schools outside of China.

"CAPT is honored to continue to receive the seal of approval from the CAAC," said Chris Kokai, Executive Director of CAPT, LLC. "We pride ourselves on our intensive flight training program and the caliber of student that CAPT produces. CAPT continues to be represented around the world, including China's premier airlines."

The Cecil campus is due to open in the Fall of 2008. CAPT will occupy space at Cecil with a capacity to hold 60 - 80 students. The program at Cecil Field will be identical to the 12-14 month ab initio program at CAPT's primary location at the Flagler County Airport in Palm Coast, Florida.  Each student will be trained at the highest levels of flight training curriculum.

In-flight training is conducted in new Cirrus SR20 and Piper PA-44 Seminole aircraft. Both aircraft utilize full-glass panel cockpit displays similar to those found in commercial aircraft.
