Bombardier Expands Support Network For Business Aircraft Customers In Russia

Appoints Tulpar Technic Of Kazan As Line Maintenance Facility For Challenger 300, Challenger 850 Business Aircraft

Bombardier has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting operators in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and to expanding its customer services network in key emerging markets. The company today announced the appointment of Tulpar Technic of Kazan, in the Republic of Tatarstan, as a Line Maintenance Facility (LMF) for the growing number of Challenger 300 and Challenger 850 business aircraft operating in the region.

Tulpar Technic has also been successfully performing maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) work on Bombardier commercial aircraft and has served as a Bombardier Authorized Service Facility (ASF) for CRJ100 and CRJ200 regional jets since August 2012. Tulpar Technic will also work to expand its Line Maintenance Facility authorization to include Challenger 605 aircraft, as well as the Global family of business jets in the near future.

"We have been working closely with Tulpar Technic in recent months as they gain experience on our products and build a strong knowledge base," said Eric Martel, President, Customer Services & Specialized and Amphibious Aircraft, Bombardier Aerospace. "Their quality work on our regional aircraft models has justifiably earned our confidence, along with that of our customers, and we are pleased that our Challenger 300 and Challenger 850 business aircraft operators based in or flying into Russia/CIS will now have greater access to superior maintenance and aircraft-on-ground services."

The Tulpar Technic maintenance facility is located at Kazan International Airport, not far from the capital of Tatarstan, Kazan. The facility, which features 49,600 square feet of hangar space, employs a full-time staff of 13 licensed technicians and seven apprentices and is certified by the Russian Aviation Authority and the European Aviation Safety Agency to service aircraft registered within Russia/CIS and in Europe.

Bombardier's 2012 Market Forecast estimates deliveries of 1,550 business aircraft to Russia/ CIS countries and 2,240 commercial aircraft to Europe and Russia/CIS countries industry wide over the next 20 years, making Russia a key market for Bombardier.
