TSO'd: FreeFlight Systems' 1204 GPS/WAAS Sensor

FreeFlight Systems has received a TSO-C145a for its Model 1204 GPS/WAAS Sensor.

The 1204 GPS/WAAS Sensor provides position, velocity and time to integrated navigation systems, FMS, TAWS and other systems that require GPS input. The 1204 also provides integrity through the use of Fault Detection and Exclusion and supports oceanic and domestic en route, terminal, non-precision approach, and departure operations.

The twelve-channel receiver has low susceptibility to comm radio jamming and interference. Consisting of only a sensor and antenna, FreeFlight claims that "easy installation is a given."

FreeFlight Systems, previously Trimble Navigation, manufactures a broad range of best value GPS navigation systems, GPS/WAAS sensors and radar altimeters. Recent GPS product enhancements include WAAS, SAR, TAWS interface and P-RNAV.

Recently introduced, their new RA 4000 radar altimeter supports the new generation EFIS systems.
