Executive Jet Management (EJM) has added its first
Gulfstream V aircraft to its charter fleet. This Gulfstream V,
owned by Sheridan Aviation, will be based in California at San Jose
International Airport. It is available for charter operations
beginning in January. Executive Jet Management's President and CEO
Albert C. Pod, said, "The GV broadens our fleet and allows
Executive Jet Management to provide its charter customers with a
fuller range of airplane sizes to meet their global business
transportation needs. As technology continues to shrink the
world, more and more companies compete in worldwide markets, and
the need to meet face-to-face becomes even more important than ever
before."
By completing the FAA proving flights and obtaining the
necessary FAA operations specifications authorization for the
Gulfstream V aircraft type, Executive Jet Management can provide
these owners with full or charter aircraft management services.
Sheridan Aviation’s chief pilot, Terry Blumenthal, noted,
“Executive Jet Management provides flexibility, the
capability to put charter on our aircraft while never interfering
with our company flights. EJM fit our needs better than any other
management company could.”
Sheridan Aviation has prior experience with
Executive Jet Management’s aircraft management capabilities,
as EJM had their Gulfstream IV-SP under management. The Gulfstream
V is one of the world's most technologically advanced
intercontinental business jet aircraft. Capable of routinely
flying 6,900 statute miles, the GV cruises at altitudes up to
51,000 feet and is capable of flying nonstop from London to
Beijing, Chicago to Tokyo, or Los Angeles to Milan. The GV
can typically accommodate as many as 14 passengers.
Executive Jet Management offers total air transportation
solutions, including turnkey aircraft management, on-demand charter
and corporate shuttles, as well as aviation consulting services
that range from maintenance and flight operations to training. As a
NetJets company, Executive Jet Management has the world's largest
business aviation infrastructure and the financial backing of
Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway company.
