Avionica, Inc. tells
ANN that they are now shipping their RSU II (Next Generation
Ruggedized Service Unit). The RSU II replaces the highly successful
original, released in 1997, continuing the tradition of
incorporating the latest technological innovation and customer
input. Avionica is proud to announce that Gulfstream Aerospace, a
long time operator of the original RSU and numerous other Avionica
products, recently received the first shipment.
“For the first time, operators can download and analyze
flight data planeside, perform necessary repairs, and verify the
repairs in real-time, often without need of a test flight”,
states Vice President Stylian Cocalides, “This enables
operators to return an aircraft to service in the shortest possible
time.”
The platform has been upgraded to a rugged, compact
MS-Windows™tablet PC. The package maintains compatibility
with Avionica’s legacy interfaces to protect customers’
investments. The RSU II improves on all the features of the
original, adding integral download capability for Avionica’s
miniQAR MkII, It is optionally available preloaded with
Avionica’s AVSCAN.flight Flight Data Analysis software.
Avionica, Inc. specializes in complete flight data management
solutions. Products include secureLINK, the airborne wireless
Ethernet router, the miniQAR, the world’s first miniature
quick access flight data recorder, the RSU, a handheld flight-data
recorder monitoring and download tool, and AVSCAN.flight, a
commercial and military flight data analysis tool.
