AD: REIMS AVIATION S.A. Model F406 Airplanes

AD NUMBER: 2007-26-08

MANUFACTURER: REIMS AVIATION S.A.:
SUBJECT: Airworthiness Directive 2007-26-08
SUMMARY: We are adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for the products listed above. This AD results from mandatory continuing airworthiness information (MCAI) issued by an aviation authority of another country to identify and correct an unsafe condition on an aviation product.

The MCAI describes the unsafe condition as:

  • On several occasions, leaks of the landing gear emergency blowdown bottle have been reported. Investigations revealed that the leakage was located on the nut manometer because of a design deficiency in the bottle head.
  • If left uncorrected, the internal bottle pressure could not be maintained to an adequate level and could result in a malfunction, failing to extend landing gears during emergency situations.

We are issuing this AD to require actions to correct the unsafe condition on these products.
