Sorry for the late showing of Airborne, but we've had some hiccups here. As you may remember, we were preparing to introduce a new Airborne host this week, and part of getting her ready to start was the fact that we needed to ship a lot of gear over to her... which we did... a week ago.
And... now, FedEx seems to have lost it. So; we have to pull a Plan B, a somewhat different version of Airborne, until Fed Ex finally finds and delivers OUR gear... Florida's lawmakers have put out two Republican-sponsored bills in the house and senate that would see the state lift its 6% tax on aircraft purchases. The change would hopefully boost interest in the state, as well as bolster the aviation economy of the region. The folks at Van's Aircraft have confirmed that they are dealing with the affects of national and global chain issues that affect one of the sport aviation communities most prolific manufacturer of sportplane kits and the RV-12 LSA. The airport administration of the Montreal, Canada area has made a deeply unpopular decision at its Mirabel location. Mirabel airport has announced a fee of $65 per landing, and local flight training staff say the change will make their school's annual fees downright punitive. All this -- and MORE in today's episode of Airborne!!!
