Air Safety Foundation's 'Mission: Possible' Now A Seminar-In-A-Box

Conduct Your Own Safety Seminar On Military "Lights Out" Operations

The AOPA Air Safety Foundation's newest interactive program on airspace is now available as a Seminar-in-a-Box. The dynamic 36-minute program, titled "Mission: Possible -- Navigating Today's Special Use Airspace," shows pilots how to deal with military lights-out training, an operation now being conducted in many military operations areas around the country.

To order the "Mission: Possible" Seminar-in-a-Box, call 800/638-3101 or visit the Air Safety Foundation Online Safety Center, and click on the Safety Seminars button. Seminar-in-a-Box programs are free, but there is a $24.95 charge for shipping and handling.

The new seminar includes a DVD based on the interactive online course. The do-it-yourself safety program is meant for easy use by flying clubs, student groups, EAA chapters, or other local pilot groups. Also in the Seminar-in-a-Box package are presenter notes and copies of the Air Safety Foundation's printed Lights-Out Safety Advisor.

"Not every pilot can get to one of the premier live Air Safety Foundation safety seminars held in larger cities," said Kevin Murphy, Air Safety Foundation vice president of training. "These Seminars-in-a-Box allow pilots in smaller communities to enjoy the same high-quality safety seminars."

Other foundation Seminar-in-a-Box programs include Airspace Refresher, Collision Avoidance, Fuel Awareness, GPS for VFR Operations, Maneuvering Flight, Never Again, More Never Again, Operations at Towered Airports, Spatial Disorientation, Trigger Tapes, Ups and Downs of Takeoffs and Landings, and Weather Tactics.
