M7 Aerospace Names 'Buck' Kilgore VP-Aerostructures Manufacturing

Division Supplies Boeing, Lockheed, AgustaWestland

Aero-News has learned M7 Aerospace recently named Emory (Buck) Kilgore to the position of Vice President of Aerostructures Manufacturing, with responsibility for M7's manufacturing and assembly operations.

Aerostructures Manufacturing is one of M7's six primary business activities. Through this business unit, M7 is a supplier to Boeing, Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, AgustaWestland and numerous other well known aerospace firms.

In addition, M7's manufacturing business unit builds parts and assemblies to support the fleet of more than 750 Fairchild Metro and Merlin aircraft operating today around the world. M7 holds the type certificates for the Merlin and Metro series aircraft, and is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM). M7 also builds parts to support the cargo conversion programs of its maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) business unit.

Kilgore brings more than 35 years of aircraft manufacturing experience to his new position. Most of his previous career was spent with Kaman Aerospace Corporation, where he held positions of increasing responsibility in Industrial Engineering, Program Management, Business Development and Manufacturing. Most recently he was the director of Kaman's Jacksonville, FL Fabrication and Assembly facility.

Kilgore attended Western New England College, majoring in Industrial Engineering, and studied business at West Liberty State University.  He is a graduate of numerous management courses from the Harford Business Center.

Besides Aerostructures Manufacturing, M7 Aerospace is active in five business lines, including Government Logistics Support programs; Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO); Aircraft Parts Sales and Product Support; Aeronautical Engineering Services, and Aerial Digital Imaging and Remote Sensing.

M7 Aerospace maintains its headquarters on the international airport in San Antonio, TX. The company occupies a 426,000 sq. ft. complex that includes offices, factory facilities and aircraft hangars.

M7 began operations in April 1, 2003 with approximately 170 employees, including 116 in San Antonio. The company now employs nearly 550 people worldwide and more than 300 in San Antonio.
