Technical Training Agreement Reached By Bombardier, Flightpath

CRJ And Challenger 800 Aircraft Included In The Pact

An agreement has been reached between Bombardier and training services provider FlightPath International (FPI) of Toronto for FPI to provide entitlement and recurrent technical training for Bombardier’s CRJ Series commercial aircraft and Challenger 800 Series business jets. Bombardier has delivered more than 1,600 CRJ Series aircraft (including corporate variants).

Under the agreement, Bombardier and FPI will collaborate to identify and realize opportunities to enhance technical training solutions for Bombardier customers. FPI will provide instruction at Bombardier training facilities or at customers’ facilities, as required. FPI has been licensed to use Bombardier's training methodology, courseware and tools, and the instructor-led classroom training will continue to be supported by desktop simulation, which introduces a fully functional simulated aircraft cockpit into the classroom environment.

“Our CRJ and Challenger 800 Series aircraft customers will continue to have access to high quality training opportunities on a more frequent basis,” said James Hoblyn, President, Customer Services & Specialized and Amphibious Aircraft, Bombardier Aerospace. “We are extremely pleased to have FPI supporting our CRJ Series and Challenger 800 Series aircraft customers.”

“FPI believes that high-quality technical training is fundamental to increased safety and lower operating costs for operators," said Andrew Lucas, President, FlightPath International. "We are committed to working closely with Bombardier to deliver the superior standard of training services that operators of CRJ Series and Challenger 800 Series aircraft have come to expect.”
