Avmax Looking To Hire Over 50 New Employees

Filling Openings On Current And New MRO Lines

Avmax is looking for over 50 new employees to help backfill current MRO lines as well as start up 2 new MRO lines. Avmax’s Aircraft Leasing Division has purchased 60 aircraft in the past year. While the bulk of these are Bombardier Dash 8 and CRJ type aircraft, other types purchased also include Airbus A340, Boeing 737, Embraer Legacy 600 & ERJ 145, Bombardier Challenger 601 & 850 and Fokker F50.

Avmax’s large fleet requires maintenance prior to customer delivery. Calgary will see one new line, bringing Calgary MRO location up to 4 lines. Calgary will still have room for 2 more lines in the future. Great Falls will see one new line, bringing the Great Falls MRO location up to full capacity at 3 lines. Both locations will be primarily focused on Dash 8 and CRJ aircraft, although different aircraft types are possible in the future due to Avmax’s diverse fleet.

"Avmax has seen a lot of growth over the years, especially in the past 2 years” said Al Young, VP of Global Operations. “We are very excited to be increasing our manpower to this extent in both Canada and the USA.”

Avmax currently employs over 500 employees worldwide. Avmax is looking to add over 30 positions to its Calgary location and over 20 positions to its Great Falls location.

Avmax is seeking the following types of positions: Technicians, Avionics, Structures, Quality Control, Project Manager, Podium Clerk, Purchaser and QA Auditor.

Avmax is also hiring in Calgary and Vancouver to grow their Engineering department. Positions being looked for are: Avionics/Electrical Designer, Avionics/Electrical Engineer, Avionics/Electrical Engineer AP, Structures Designer, Structures Engineer and Structures Engineer AP.
