Organize A Night Out For Your Community!
Its public debut earned rave reviews among
attendees at this year's AirVenture celebration in
Oshkosh... and now, we're just days away from the
nationwide opening of "Flyboys" -- – the story of the
Lafayette Escadrille, and the first WWI aviation movie to come out
of Hollywood in 40 years.
Flyboys opens at theaters Friday, September 22. Many aviation
related organizations are taking advantage of the movie release,
organizing group outings called to promote their mission and
membership, as corporate outings, or simply as an opportunity to
come together with fellow aviation enthusiasts.
Events like these -- called a "Flyboys Night Out" -- are already
scheduled in such cities as Houston... Las Vegas... New York... and
San Diego, as well as many more. To check if a "Flyboys Night Out"
is scheduled near where you live and fly, click on the first link
at the FMI below.
AND... if you are interested in hosting your own Flyboys Night
Out, click on the second FMI link to speak with Luke Thivierge for
assistance with door prizes and local media coverage.
This movie is a BIG deal for the aviation community... and one
can only hope it earns a strong showing on its opening weekend, to
increase the chances of seeing more flying movies coming out of
Hollywood (and, just maybe, fewer movies about sensationalized
Hollywood murders?) You can do your part... check out "Flyboys" at
your neighborhood theater.
And bring 50 of your closest friends!
