PrivatAir Appoints New VP Of Charter Sales

Edgar van Schaik Has Experience In High-End Real Estate

International business aviation specialist PrivatAir has announced the appointment of Edgar van Schaik as Vice President Charter Sales, effective July 1.

Based at the company’s headquarters in Geneva, he will be responsible for overseeing the ongoing expansion of the charter sales division, developing new strategies for sales growth and managing the day-to-day activities of the charter team. He will report directly to CEO Greg Thomas.

Edgar comes to PrivatAir with almost 15 years of sales and marketing experience. After starting his career as a Platoon Commander with the Dutch Special Forces, he changed direction to study marketing at the Institute Notenboom in The Netherlands. Following graduation, he worked in numerous marketing and sales roles throughout the world across a broad range of industry sectors, including high-end real estate, luxury watches, IT and telecommunications.

"I am excited about the opportunity to further develop PrivatAir’s rapidly growing charter sales division," said van Schaik. "Not only will we concentrate our efforts moving forward on pursuing and growing new customer markets, but we will also continue to focus on finding innovative ways to constantly improve PrivatAir’s already legendary customer offering."

"Edgar joins PrivatAir at a very exciting time, not just for the company, but for the business aviation industry at large," said PrivatAir CEO Greg Thomas. "His experience in other fast-growing and ever-changing industries provides an excellent foundation for a rewarding career at PrivatAir, and I am delighted that he is joining the company."

PrivatAir is an international business aviation group with headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland and operating bases in Zurich (Switzerland), Düsseldorf, Frankfurt and Munich (Germany) and Amsterdam (The Netherlands). The company manages a fleet of airliners including Boeing Business Jets, Airbus A319s, as well as a VIP-configured Boeing 757 and Boeing 767.
