Denver: Uncharted Tower East of Town

Watch for This Uncharted Hazard

We understand that this new tower, east of Denver, won't be on the charts until January. Trouble is, it's sticking up into the air, now.

Watch for it: 39- 55- 25 N / 103- 58-20 W

This 1995-foot tall beast has low-intensity strobes; there will be a NOTAM if, for some reason, the strobes fail. However, you won't see the guy wires; and we're told by ANN News-Spy Bill that, "This tower is up... It's extremely hard to see, [even] if you know it's there." He added, "I've flown past it three times in the last week, and had trouble finding it."

He thought you'd want to know. So did we.
