Is Airline "A La Carte" Pricing A Consumer Plus? With Amadeus North America's Robert Buckman

Today, ANN's Paul Plack talks with Robert Buckman, aviation futurist and director of airline distribution strategy for Miami-based Amadeus North America. Amadeus is a company which administers much of the information technology infrastructure used to book airline flights.

Buckman predicts the recent move by most airlines to unbundle services into a list of ala carte fees will eventually be seen as a consumer advantage

This feature is in addition to our daily news briefing -- available in either a quick "Touch And Go" format, or an expanded Aero-Briefing -- where you'll hear these stories:

AAI Acquisitions suspends development of the A700 as Russian stock markets tumble...

Forecast International predicts Eclipse will be next...

And IAM members will vote Saturday on a new contract with Boeing.

...And more
