flyExclusive Adopts Gogo’s AVANCE Connectivity Solution Fleetwide

Embracing AVANCE-ment

Gogo Business Aviation, the American provider of in-flight broadband Internet and connectivity solutions for business aircraft, announced that its proprietary AVANCE inflight broadband connectivity solution has been selected by flyExclusive—the North Carolina-based charter operator and aircraft fractional ownership concern.

To better serve its customers, flyExclusive will upgrade forty of its ninety-plus aircraft fleet with Gogo’s AVANCE connectivity platform.

As a long-time Gogo customer, we rely on AVANCE to deliver a great inflight experience for our customers from a proven, trusted, and reliable partner.”

Offering global curated private jet services and a proven fractional ownership model, flyExclusive understands the needs of contemporary air-travelers and meets such with a modern fleet of Textron CitationJet aircraft comprising: ten Citation Encores, 13 Citation CJ3s, forty Citation Excel/XLSs, seven Citation Sovereigns, 13 Citation Xs, seven Gulfstream GIV-SPs, and one Citation CJ3+. The entirety of flyExclusive’s fleet is provisioned with Gogo’s AVANCE L3, AVANCE L5, or Gogo classic ATG systems (ATG 2000, 4000, or 5000).

Gogo senior vice president of business development Andy Geist set forth: “We’re thrilled to broaden our agreement with flyExclusive to offer their passengers an enhanced In-Flight Entertainment and Connectivity (IFEC) solution with an AVANCE hardware upgrade. AVANCE provides platform-powered flexibility and control along with greater speed, capacity and bandwidth so passengers and crew alike can customize their experience to meet their unique needs.”

AVANCE L3 and L5 feature Gogo Vision 360, a complete IFEC architecture providing unlimited streaming of on-demand movies, television news and programming, leading digital magazine titles, and a state-of-the-art 3D moving map. Gogo Vision’s fixed monthly price eliminates the unpredictability and high costs characteristic of competitors’ in-flight streaming services

Gogo’s AVANCE L5 5G promises to afford air-travelers greater connectivity and data transfer rates across more devices than extant systems. Specifically, Gogo 5G is expected to deliver an average of approximately 25-megabytes-per-second (Mbps), with peak-speeds in the 75-80 Mbps range. To address the increasing demand for data-heavy interactive services the likes of video conferencing and gaming, the network has been designed to deliver high throughput with low latency.

The multi-bearer capability and software-centric design of Gogo’s AVANCE platform allows customers to future-proof their inflight connectivity investments, and offers upgrade paths to Gogo’s 5G and global Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite-based networks.

At the 2019 NBAA-BACE, Gogo declared its commitment to building a 5G network embodying bleeding-edge aviation connectivity. At 2022’s NBAA-BACE—in an instance of commendable follow-through—Gogo announced it had completed and deployed the entirety of its 150-site, nationwide 5G network. 

Gogo is working with business aviation Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and numerous authorized Gogo dealers to develop additional STCs covering north of thirty factory-new and aftermarket aircraft models.

To date, over 2,500 commercial aircraft and 6,600 business aircraft have been equipped with Gogo’s onboard Wi-Fi services. The advent of the company’s 5G network stands to diminish the rigors of air-travel by keeping passengers and aircrews in immediate and reliable contact with their families, colleagues, and interests.
