Embry-Riddle Announces Aviation Industry Manufacturing Summit

Orlando Conference To Focus On Industry Recovery

Earlier this week Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Worldwide division announced its first Aviation and Aerospace Industry Manufacturing Summit.  The event will be held on Feb. 22-24, 2010 at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort in Orlando, FL. The summit is being presented by Embry-Riddle's Center for Aviation and Aerospace Leadership in collaboration with the Aerospace States Association.

The two-day event will present data and address issues on the state of aerospace manufacturing in the US and around the world for both military and commercial markets, and address key trends and projections for the future. Speakers at the summit include representatives from Lockheed Martin Skunk Works, GAMA, the National Council of Manufacturers, and the US Department of Commerce.

Organizers say the summit is appropriate for a broad range of attendees including small-to-medium manufacturers, OEMs and primes, service providers, government agencies, policy makers, economic developers, and educators who serve the aerospace industry.  According to the summit website, competitive analysis, aerospace and aviation trends, and economic recovery will be covered.

Registration for the event includes several meals.  In addition, attendees will receive a free copy our new Aerospace Economic Report and Outlook for 2010: Manufacturing Indicators for the Aviation and Aerospace Industry, also known as the AERO 2010 Report. This 300-page annual report includes an in-depth analysis of major trends affecting the industry including sales data, employment trends, key international trade statistics, and a forecast for the future based on a review of what the major aerospace firms are saying and Embry-Riddle's own analysis.
