AEA Postpones Convention

Cites Continuing Spread Of COVID-19 Virus

The latest aviation trade show to fall to the Coronavirus is the AEA Convention, which had been scheduled for later this month in Nashville, TN.

"The Aircraft Electronics Association has postponed its 63rd annual AEA International Convention & Trade Show that was scheduled for March 24-27 in Nashville, Tennessee," the association said in a news release.

"The coronavirus (COVID-19) has created an unprecedented situation, and the AEA's highest priority is the health, safety and security of all attendees, exhibitors and sponsors at association events. Due to a variety of current medical advisories, health warnings and travel restrictions, the decision to postpone is the most prudent course of action at this time.

"We regret the inconvenience and disappointment this has caused, but we thank the professional men and women in the avionics industry for your patience and understanding as the association works through its available options and the feasibility of a future date.

"The AEA staff will communicate directly with all registered attendees and exhibitors in the days ahead. In the meantime, this postponement will no doubt create questions, and we ask for your patience in advance as we respond to a high volume of emails and phone calls. Please allow the next couple of weeks for this process to occur.

"For those individuals who made a hotel reservation through the AEA room block at the Gaylord Opryland Resort, please contact the Gaylord Opryland Resort directly to cancel the reservation.

"Again, we thank all our attendees, exhibitors and sponsors for your support and patience as we work through this unique situation together."
