Luton SC Also Receives G550 Maintenance Approval from the Hong
Kong
Gulfstream tells ANN that their
Aerospace Service Center at London-Luton Airport has received
official approval from EASA to perform maintenance work on
Gulfstream G450 business-jet aircraft. The U.K.-based service
center also received approval from the Hong Kong Civil Aviation
Department (HKCAD) to perform maintenance on Hong Kong-registered
Gulfstream G550 business-jet aircraft. The HKCAD is expected to
approve work on the G450 later this year.
Operators of G450 aircraft registered in European Union
countries, as well as operators of G550 aircraft registered in Hong
Kong , now can take their aircraft to Gulfstream’s Luton
Service Center for regular scheduled maintenance and inspections
and warranty work.
Larry Flynn, president, Product Support, Gulfstream, explained
the significance of these approvals. “With the increasing
level of corporate air traffic within Europe , as well as between
London and Hong Kong , the maintenance approvals from EASA and the
HKCAD enable us to provide our Gulfstream technical expertise at a
location that’s convenient to our G450 and G550
operators.”
Gulfstream Luton currently provides comprehensive service for
European Union-based G550 and G500 business jets. Additionally, it
provides service for out-of-production Gulfstream aircraft –
the GV, GIV/GIV-SP, GIII and the GII. Before the end of this year,
Gulfstream Luton will begin servicing G200 aircraft.
Earlier this year, the Gulfstream Luton facility added $4.5
million in spare parts to its inventory to support the growing
fleet of Gulfstream business jets operating in Europe and the
Middle East.
