The FAA UAS Symposium 2019 Is Being Postponed

Partial Government Shutdown Gets The Blame

The FAA UAS Symposium 2019 scheduled to take place in February is being postponed due to the government shutdown, according to a media advisory released by AUVSI. The new conference dates will be announced after furloughed FAA employees return to work.

Once employees return, AUVSI says they will continue to build an event that will bring stakeholders together from all sectors to help define the rules and concepts that will govern the future of drone operations. Attendees will examine how industry and regulators are working together to establish partnerships and identify the responsibilities, education and tools needed for safe and successful integration of the national airspace.

There will also be sessions on the latest topics in UAS, such as urban air mobility, package delivery and beyond line-of-sight operations.
