iFly GPS Rebranded - now iFly EFB

Cost-Competitive EFB App Adds Weight & Balance, Handy Features for General Aviation

Adventure Pilot's iFly GPS has become iFly EFB, an all-in one flight prep app for pilots of any category.

iFly EFB can be used for both VFR and IFR flight with a yearly subscription, providing all the weather, charting, navigational, and terrain information expected of a flight bag, with additional support for instrument approaches, procedures, filing flight plans, and more with an additional fee. The
The app is available for Android, iOS, and Windows platforms, tapping into a wider spectrum of tablets & phones than competing electronic flight bags. The revamped iFLY app now provides support for aircraft weight and balance, allowing quick, on-the-fly calculations for a given aircraft's envelope.

"We're thrilled to be launching iFly EFB, our most advanced and user-friendly aviation navigation solution." said Walter Boyd, Adventure Pilot founder. "With the Weight & Balance feature, we're making it easier than ever for pilots to plan and execute safe and efficient flights. We can't wait to see the difference this will make for our customers."

The physical devices in the iFly lineup, like the iFly 740b, will not be rebranded, the company notes. With the updates, the iFly EFB stands as one of the more cost-competitive options to bigger, more corporate applications - a basic buy-in for VFR charts and EFB service tips the wallet scales at only $79.99 per year, with a $49.99 add-on for IFR charts, plates, and support. For additional devices, a $24.99 upcharge will double the number of active platforms from the standard 2 to 4 in all.
