ATG Gets Another Distributor And 40 New Orders

Eight Year Deal Worth $120 Million

In case you didn't already know, Englewood, CO-based Aviation Technology Group, Inc., (ATG) is developing and marketing a two-place, tandem seating, fighter-style aircraft in two trims. The MK-10 is a truly unique, ultrahigh-performance executive jet -- for when you absolutely need to get there ASAP. The MK-20 is ATG's bid for the military trainer market.

Wednesday, ATG told ANN it has made Action Aviation its exclusive distributor for the civilian versions of the Javelin throughout the Middle East, Africa, the Indian subcontinent, and West Asia.

As part of this agreement, Action Aviation placed firm orders for 40 Javelin, worth $120 million, for delivery to its customers over a period of eight years from certification, including a few early premium positions.

With many years of experience in the aviation industry, Action Aviation has offices in Europe, the Middle East, and India. In addition to the Javelin, Action Aviation is an exclusive distributor for MD helicopters and the Sino Swearingen SJ30.

"All of us at Action Aviation are very excited by the long-term prospects for the Javelin," said Hamish Harding, chairman of Action Aviation. "We looked at the jet in depth and were absolutely amazed by the level of performance that has been achieved with the Javelin. Imagine, as a civilian businessman, being able to fly in a 500-knot business jet capable of climbing at stunningly high climb rates. Add to that a fully aerobatic capability to +6g and -3g—and an appearance not unlike an F-18 fighter—and this jet is going to turn quite a few heads on any business aircraft ramp in the world."

Harding added, "With a range of over 1,000 nautical miles—and amazing flight times like Dubai to Jeddah in one hour, 57 minutes, this aircraft is a stylish personal transport for one or two people traveling at a time. And, at around $3 million, the Javelin is an ideal complement to many personal fleets. Personally, I can’t wait to get my hands on a demonstrator."

George Bye, chairman of ATG, commented, "We are delighted to have Action Aviation become a vital member of our team. As civil aviation marketing specialists in the region, Action Aviation is unmatched."
