Man Arrested After 'Berating' Sheriff David Clarke On Flight

Reportedly Became Increasingly Abusive As The Two-Hour Flight Progressed

A Milwaukee man was arrested Saturday and charged with intoxication and disruptive behavior after he verbally abused Milwaukee County Sheriff David A. Clarke Jr. on a flight from Milwaukee to Charlotte, NC.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that Clarke, who is a vocal supported or Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump, was traveling to New Hampshire to attend the Cheshire County Annual Republican Shoot when the incident occurred. During the flight from Milwaukee to Charlotte, NC, 36-year-old Preston Bluntson (pictured in booking photo) began to talk loudly and obnoxiously, directing many of his comments at Clarke, according to a witness who did not wish to give their name.

The passenger on the American Airlines flight said that Bluntson became increasingly abusive, and appeared to be drinking throughout the flight. Bluntson, who is African-American allegedly repeatedly used racial epithets, and said Clarke, who is also African-American, is "not one of us."

Several people on the flight tried to calm Bluntson with no success. The only response from Clarke was to tell Bluntson to "shut up" once during the flight.

When the plane landed, Clarke detained Bluntson until local police could board the aircraft, and he was handcuffed and charged.
