Two Dead In California L-39 Accident

Plane Was Participating In Movie Shoot

Two men onboard an Aero-Vodochody L-39 jet (file photos of type, below) were killed Sunday when their jet impacted a mountain northeast of Los Angeles, CA. The plane was one of three participating in a movie shoot at the time.

"Nobody survived," said Commander Dave Nelson of the Kern County Sheriff's Department. The county coroner's office identified the victims as Skip Robinson, 43, of Klamath Falls, OR and Terry Fregly from Tallahassee, FL.

Local media reports cite the coroner's office as stating the pilot of the L-39 lost control of his plane, and impacted the mountain outside of California City.
