RoigWest At VNY, West Coast Jet At CRQ Latest Additions

Crownair Aviation announced Monday at NBAA 2008 it has acquired RoigWest Maintenance -- a turbine aircraft maintenance service and support center at Van Nuys Airport (VNY), the third busiest general aviation airport in the world -- as well as West Coast Jet Services at McClellan Palomar Airport (CRQ), which will now be known as Crownair Aviation-CRQ.

RoigWest and Crownair Aviation-CRQ are the latest additions to the newly formed Crownair Companies, an aviation maintenance and avionics industry leader in the Southwest United States that started with Crownair Aviation at Montgomery Field (MYF) in 1951 and grew in 2007 with the acquisition of IFR Avionics, an international leader in avionics engineering and custom aircraft outfitting, based at Van Nuys Airport.

"Through these acquisitions, we will establish a greater presence in the US Southwest that allows our business jet and general aviation customers access to high-quality maintenance and avionic services in four locations," says Grant Murray, owner of Crownair and former owner of the Long Beach and Oxnard Million Air franchises. "We’ve made it easier for our customers to receive maintenance, avionics upgrades, repairs and personnel services through a single organization they’ve come to know and trust."

Formed in 2008 in San Diego, CA, the Crownair Companies network includes four aircraft service firms: Crownair Aviation-MYF, IFR Avionics-VNY, RoigWest Maintenance-VNY, and Crownair Aviation-CRQ.

In addition to the current locations, Crownair plans to expand to Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport in Arizona by 2010.
