Bell Delivers Its 100th Commercial Helicopter To India

Sold Its First Helo In Country In 1956

Bell Helicopter announced Wednesday the delivery of the 100th commercial helicopter in India. ABIR Infrastructure Private Ltd., received the keys to a Bell 412 during the India Aviation air show.

"ABIR is experiencing rapid growth with an established name in multiple businesses lines in India," said Abir managing director, K. Gnyandeep. "This Bell 412EP will increase our capability to continue to grow and reach better business economies."

Jon Rudy, Bell's director of Business Development for Asia said, "The combined team of Bell Helicopter, Edwards and Associates, Bell Helicopter Finance Group, and our independent representative, Jubilant Empro, are proud to deliver our 100th commercial helicopter into the Indian market. We have a winning team and are looking forward to achieving the next 100 deliveries in India."

Since selling its first helicopter into India back in 1956, Bell has delivered a variety of models to India and has grown its market share to be the leader with our 50% of the commercial market.

A ceremony commemorating this delivery will be held in Hyderabad during the India Aviation air show.
