Get a Job, Get a Rating, If You Work For These Folks!
SourceWise Data Engineering has announced it will
offer its software developers flight training reimbursement to
improve the company's ability to provide services to clients in
remote and distant areas.
"Many successful companies are relocating to less populated
areas to achieve better quality-of-life and escape high inner-city
expenses. What they lose is quick access to the people with the
skill and the vision to build the software applications that are
crucial to the growth of these companies," said Steve Conley,
SourceWise CEO. "Our software developers have a passion for
technology as well as flying. We see this new reimbursement program
as a win-win-win situation: a win for employees, SourceWise, and
its clients."
SourceWise currently offers its software
developers training reimbursement to continuously improve their
technical skills. The company's new Flight Training Reimbursement
Program will cover 75% of training expenses toward a private pilot
certificate or instrument rating. The new program encourages
developers to become competent and safe pilots and supports the
company's goal of maintaining a highly mobile workforce.
SourceWise developer-pilots are part of the company's Rapid
Response Technical Team, which includes three licensed pilots and
three private airplanes. With the rise of airport security
procedures, commercial airline route reductions, and the need for
highly skilled technical resources in less populated areas,
SourceWise is adjusting the way it supports employees and clients
to take advantage of projected growth.
