Jeppesen Enables New Pilots To Take Flight In Partnership With Spanish Aeroclub

Aeroclub De Reus Of Spain To Use Boeing Eacademy System To Train Regional General Aviation Pilots

Jeppesen has announced a new agreement with the Aeroclub de Reus of Spain, providing a new version of Boeing eAcademy training services to enhance the flying club’s ability to train a new generation of general aviation pilots. The new eAcademy version incorporates the same e-learning programs that are being used in airline training on a global scale.

“These new capabilities allow us to take our training capabilities to the next level of participation and advanced learning,” said Enric Moralla, president, Aeroclub de Reus. “We are looking to increase our training output using these capabilities, with a goal of training more than 100 pilots annually, while increasing our total number of airplanes available to the club.”

The Aeroclub de Reus has applied with the civil aviation authority in Madrid to gain necessary approvals to use the eAcademy training system with its members and plan to begin the training program later this fall. The Aeroclub de Reus was founded in 1935, providing a platform for the advancement of general aviation flight in the region.

“Our engagement with the Aeroclub de Reus illustrates our ability to provide a world-class training system with robust and adaptable capabilities, allowing for global, scalable deployment for learning related to general aviation flying,” said William Ampofo, vice president, Business & General Aviation, Boeing Global Services. “We are privileged to play in role in inspiring Spain’s new generation of pilots taking to the skies, and providing them a quality training experience backed by the instruction and foundation of our integrated training services.”
