Dog And Its Owner Reunited With The Help Of A Drone

Wisconsin State Trooper Used His Aircraft To Help Following A Traffic Accident

A 3-year-old Australian Shepherd was reunited with its owner following a traffic accident last week with the help of a drone.

Fox News reports that Wisconsin State Trooper John Jones used the aircraft to locate the dog in a wooded area in Brown County, WI. The dog was with its owner in a car on State Highway 57 when a deer ran onto the roadway. The driver, who was not identified, swerved to miss the deer, but wound up rolling the vehicle over. The dog, named "River", dashed into the woods after the crash.

Using his drone, Jones saw tracks left by the dog in the snow leading from the accident scene. He followed the tracks and found River scared but uninjured. River was taken to an animal hospital, and then reunited with its owner.
