An "American Heroes" helicopter-only airshow is set for June
20th at Seattles' Museum of Flight at Boeing Field.
Sponsored by the Seattle chapter of the Airborne Law Enforcement
Association ... this is the 5th year that the airshow will be held
at the Museum. Organizers say the event is designed to
profile the helicopters' dynamic role in law enforcement, public
safety, communications, and search and rescue, as well as homeland
security and national defense.
Admission is free to the static display area throughout the day
where aviators and enthusiasts of all ages can explore helicopters
from law enforcement, the military and other government agencies
along with many of the most recognizable aircraft from local news
and emergency service operators.
Additionally, helicopter flight training schools and HEMS
provider Airlift Northwest will be attending with either their
Agusta 109 helicopter or one of the new EC135 aircraft. Visitors
will be invited to board many of the aircraft and talk to the
Pilots, Medics, Crew Chiefs and Flight Nurses to learn why their
mission is critical to community safety in the Seattle and western
Washington State area.
The American Heroes Airshow, a non-profit event, is offered in
seven major U.S. cities, enabling spectators from coast-to-coast
the opportunity to view advanced military and civilian helicopters
and meet the pilots who fly them.
