Questions are being answered following an analysis of President Trump’s executive order to hold pending and new regulations for a 60-day review. Industry analysis tends to indicate that the freeze does not apply to BasicMed, which provides a long-anticipated alternative to medical certification.

The executive order is a standard operating procedure for new administrations. The order exempts “any regulations subject to statutory or judicial deadlines.” Genesys Aerosystems will unveil its new state-of-the-art helicopter cockpit demonstrator at their booth during the upcoming HAI Heli-EXPO convention in Dallas. The Genesys Aerosystems cockpit demonstrator is equipped with all of the company’s latest equipment. The EAA and Seaplane Pilots Association have announced a memorandum of understanding that expands the organizations’ joint efforts to bring the possibilities of flight to more people. The memo of understanding also outlines specific areas where EAA and SPA will work together. That includes support of mutual membership goals, collaborating on advocacy issues, and joint opportunities to promote both organizations to the public. It also encompasses EAA’s continued support of seaplane base operations during the EAA AirVenture Oshkosh fly-in. All this -- and MORE in today's episode of Airborne!!!
