Four-Blade MT Composite Propeller FIKI Approval Announced

Available For Cirrus SR22, SR22T

Flight Resource, LLC; a distributor of MT Propellers, announced Tuesday that an STC has been approved to install the 4-blade MT composite propellers on the Cirrus SR22 and SR22T, including those with Flight Into Known Icing (FIKI). The company says the replacement provides up to 17 pounds of weight savings, "turbine-like" smoothness, reduced noise (inside and out), and improvements in climb and cruise performance.

“We are very pleased to make this announcement," said Larry Schlasinger, Flight Resource Founding Partner and Technical Specialist. "FIKI approval is not an easy task. We are always looking for ways to get the most performance out of our planes. This upgrade hit all benchmarks and it looks so good on this plane." The MT composite propeller is a lightweight alternative to conventional forged aluminum props. The high-thrust scimitar blades incorporate a stainless steel leading edge on high-thrust, precision CNC milled blades with no life limits, according to the company.

Flight Resource, LLC holds several MT Propeller upgrade STC’s. They market installation kits for  hundreds of makes and models of singles, twins and turbine powered aircraft are supported from the Cessna 170 up to the Jetstream 41.
