Becomes National Sales Manager
Lancair says Mike Schrader has
rejoined the company as its national sales manager, responsible for
the company's network of 12 domestic Sales and Service Centers.
Schrader was one of earliest Lancair Company employees, coming
over to the firm upon its inception from NEICO Aviation, the
company that markets Lancair kit aircraft. Schrader subsequently
left Lancair in 2003 to serve as Flying Magazine's West Coast sales
representative.
"I joined the Lancair kit company in 1992, essentially working
for free just to get my foot in the door,” Schrader said.
"Lance gave me a chance to advance my career in aviation and when
he decided to certify an aircraft, I wanted to be a part of it. I
guess the company's in my blood. I'm really looking forward to
being part of a great team again at such an exciting time in the
company's evolution.” In addition to his career in aviation
sales, Schrader is also a certified airframe and powerplant
mechanic.
Schrader takes over the National Sales Manager duties from Rich
Belzer who will continue as Director of Marketing and International
Operations.
"The Lancair Company is growing,” said President Bing
Lantis. "The scope of our sales volumes in the coming years will be
too much for one person to handle effectively, so when the
opportunity appeared to bring Mike back on board to manage our
domestic sales organization, we didn't hesitate to act. Mike's U.S.
market expertise will be immediately useful. Rich's terrific
international business experience will help us be successful in
Europe and our other emerging markets. We also expect to continue
to benefit from his excellent strategic business and marketing
skills.”
