Mosquito Populations Can Explode Following A Tropical
Event
As hurricane season deepens, and government agencies and
emergency response organizations ready for possible response needs,
Dynamic Aviation, which provides aerial insect control and other
services to government and commercial organizations, is also
preparing its fleet of aircraft equipped with specialized
application systems to be "mission-ready". The company specializes
in providing rapid response to local, state and federal government
customers to mitigate mosquito population surges in the aftermath
of major storms that involve heavy rains.
“Our goal is to help our customers overcome threats to
public health in a quick, thorough and cost-effective manner that
produces superior efficacy,” said Michael Stoltzfus,
president and CEO of Dynamic Aviation. “We have a specialized
team that has supported a variety of government customers with
mosquito control challenges for more than 40 years.”
Dynamic Aviation is prepared to respond to a variety of public
health emergencies, including the need to control adult mosquito
populations, which has been identified as the main cause of the
spread of the deadly West Nile Virus, Eastern equine encephalitis
and St. Louis encephalitis. Each of the company’s
twin-turbine aircraft dedicated to aerial spray operations is
uniquely qualified to fly over heavily congested areas, and the
fleet is capable of effectively treating more than 300,000 acres in
a single night. The company and its partner, Clarke Mosquito
Control, have more than 60 contracts established nationwide with
mosquito control organizations.
