Upgraded: GAMA's Jens C. Henning

Promoted To Director Of Operations

The General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) announced this week the promotion of Jens C. Hennig to the position of Director, Operations for the organization. Hennig was previously GAMA's Manager of Operations.

"In the three years that Jens has been at GAMA, he has become an integral part in representing our members on operational, airport, safety, and regulatory issues," said GAMA President & CEO Pete Bunce. "He has developed an excellent reputation within the industry and is a real asset to the association."

In his new capacity, Hennig will continue to oversee the association's safety and accident investigation programs and also handle industry analysis. He is currently serving on several advisory committees including the JAA Operations Sectorial Team and as a representative on the EASA Safety Standards Consultative Committee

Hennig was an active member of the FAA Part 135/125 Aviation Rulemaking Committee and the Aviation Rulemaking Cost Committee. During 2004-2005, he also oversaw the association's public affairs and communications. Prior to joining GAMA in 2003, Hennig was Manager of Flight Operations with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University where he also earned his master of business administration in aviation and bachelor of science in aerospace engineering.

GAMA is an international trade association headquartered in Washington, DC representing over 50 of the world's leading manufacturers of general aviation aircraft, engines, avionics and related equipment. GAMA's members also operate fleets of aircraft, fixed based operations, and pilot training and maintenance training facilities.
